Oregon is where the US Ski team trains in the summer, when there not in Chile.
Oregon has high elevation mountains like Mount Hood and Mount Bachelor. These
impressive ski mountains are off the beaten path, but easy to get to from
Portland Oregon.
Staying at the historic Timberline Lodge, you are perfectly situated by the
slopes, ready to ski Mt Hood’s glacier and nearby Mount Hood Meadows ski area.
Mt Hood is glacier skiing, offering great snow conditions into the early summer
months so you can be sure there will be plenty of snow and fabulous views in the
winter months.
Mount Bachelor is like a big ice cream cone, you can ski of all snowy sides of
the summit. The Pine Martin Lodge at mid-mountain is a great ski lunch spot. If
you visit Bachelor, you can stay in the outdoorsy town of Bend, the people are
the real deal – healthy, mountain loving enthusiasts. Bend is home to lots of
cafes, ski breweries, and smiling Benders usually toting ski racks, bike racks
and golf clubs in the car – all at once.
